Starting point
What should a beginner learn first?
Studying forex in a random order is one of the quickest ways to end up confused. A video on indicators, a thread about leverage and a tip about a currency pair each make sense on their own, but together they leave gaps in the basics that later decisions depend on. The six areas below are worth covering in sequence.

Order of learning
Don't Start With the Strategy — Start With the Foundation
Most people arrive at forex looking for a method: an indicator setting, an entry rule, a signal group. The problem is not that strategies are useless — it is that a strategy cannot be judged without the context it operates in.
Before a set of rules can mean anything, you need to be able to answer what a trade costs, how large the position is relative to the account, how much leverage is behind it, what conditions the market is in, what the worst plausible outcome looks like, how the order will actually be executed and how you tend to behave when a position moves against you. Without those answers, a winning week and a losing week teach you nothing, because you cannot tell whether the result came from the method or from the exposure.
A strategy is a tool, not a guarantee of results. Understanding risk should come before trying to maximize returns.
Demo trading
Practice Before You Risk Real Money
A demo environment is where the mechanical part of trading becomes routine. Nothing is at stake, so mistakes are cheap and repetition is free — which is exactly what a beginner needs before real money is involved.
Demo trading can help you learn platform mechanics, but it cannot perfectly reproduce the psychological pressure of trading real money.
Live trading
Before You Consider Going Live
There is no point in a course at which live trading becomes automatically appropriate. The list below is a way to see what you actually understand — not a permission slip.
Completing an education course does not mean that live trading is suitable for everyone.

How to compare a broker
What Should Beginners Look For in a Broker?
Advertising describes a broker at its best. The things that decide how an account actually behaves are written in the legal documents, the account specifications and the fee schedule. Compare those six areas rather than the headline claims.
What you are comparing
Common beginner mistakes
Seven habits that cost beginners the most
These are patterns, not one-off errors. Each one tends to repeat until the underlying gap in understanding is filled.
How long does it take?
Stages, not deadlines
Progress in forex is measured by what you can explain and control, not by days on a calendar. Some people move through the early stages quickly and then spend months on risk discipline; others need longer with the mechanics first.

Frequently asked questions
